What Others Say
If we neglect what we have to grieve what we have lost, at some point grieving becomes an indulgence.
AnonymousWhy Africa?
It is Africa's hour: Africans are rising up in great numbers to take hold of the promises of God for their continent. The president of South Africa, Thabo Mbeki, says there is an African renaissance in the making. Everywhere you turn you find a spirit of entrepreneurship and vision for new things. read more

That was what I needed to hear.

Great hearing you again, after so many years in Stockholm and Falkenberg in the beginning of the 80s.
Greatful, Gerhard from Austria (formerly junky in India)
Dear Floyd
Remember way back in 74. In Kathmandu Bert and Hilary in the Dilaram house got converted (along with others of course). Well here I am just to say HI. In July I retired from paid work. We did the ‘’grey nomad’ thing of travelling round Australia where we camped etc, then with my daughter I walked across Spain on a pilgrimage thing. The RCs believe the walk, from hte beginning to the end warrents the forgivess of your sins. If that was true I would have done it on my hands. Anyway, while on the walk I did some praying and now that I have returned thought I might look you up on the computer… and there you were.
God is good. This is how he has lead us: both Hil and I did theol training, then we did a dilaram copy cat in Melbourne, which lasted for seven years. Then I worked as an evangelist with our church, and visited the Cook Islands to teach evang at one of hte YWAM teams there. Did that three times. Was great. Our kids came along. Bonnie is now 26 and Christopher 24. Chris has ‘problems’ which is pc’d as intellectual disability, but in my mind is is as if he is gifted in lovliness and purity. The disability thing was like opening up pandora’s box for me, and for hte rest of my career I have worked part time for the church and part time running programs for people with intellectual disabilities. Now that I am retired I am doing much the same, but just not getting paid for it!!
I see Peter and Kate Fitzgerald annually. They are doing well. they are working with Tear, a agency working with the poor. You prob know this.
I have been ministering and evangelising with our church for hte last ten years. An Anglican one, which fortunately has a fabulous vicar who believes the scriptures. Hilary is a nurse and works with the oldies in a near by hospital. From what I hear she is loved by her patients. She has a sweet way about her.
Anyway, dear Floyd, having just got home from our wedn bible study, I had the time to say hello to you and Sally (who I have never met).
It seems as though you have kept yourself busy over the years, and it was lovely to hear your voice on some of hte sermons on the site.
Bless you both, and thanks for listening to the voice of hte Lord re the dilaram thing. I can’t imagine a nicer of way of becoming a Christian!!

Bert (and Hilary, who is at work)
PS I visited with Stuart Moss about five years ago. He lives in Washinton. Great guy etc. Such a help to me as I struggled trying to workout jews and gentiles and what ever was Jesus doing on the cross etc. Well, he’s not as Christ centred as he was, or was not then. So offer a prayer for dear Stuart and his gorgeous wife. After visiting with him we stayed with Judith, his girlfriend (ex). She and husband and four kids are dinky die about Jesus that is for sure. Enought of this reminiscing.
Hallo Floyd and Sally
remember the germans - Uli,Dieter,Nick and me ?
I stayed in the houses in Kabul and Kathmandu from April 1972 till May 1974. Iam now a pastor - as Dieter in the Lutheran church - around Stuttgart . Nick is a teacher and Uli I guess you know what he is doing.
We see each other quite often . Iam married with Waltraud we have 3 grown up sons.
We all changed a lot - but still remembering you and these old times with much affection
many greetings - Wolfgang
Thought an old Dilaram man like you might yearn for some analytical reflections on institutionalised evangelicalism.
